Metal Weaving

The surface is woven from copper thread on a jacquard loom. Thread runs from 0.05 to 0.5 mm, and the finished textile sits at around 0.7 mm total thickness.

Pattern is designed at loom level, in the studio. The weave structure carries the image directly.

Weight runs 0.5 to 2.5 kg per square metre. Light transmission is specified from 0 to 60 per cent, so the same material can close a surface or filter it.
